Show must be stopped !
Next Monday (Monday 17th July), delegates will meet François Loos, the French minister of industry, to inform him about the consequences of the Newell Rubbermaid decision.

On strike.
After the meeting, 90 % of the employees of the Factory in Valence put a struggle against the reorganization project for 3 days (27 th, 28 th and 30 th of June). They stopped working and locked the company. Of course, I was one of them ! Because I'm sure that this reorganization project is not good for the company. It's not good because all the knowledge that generation of Reynold's employees accumulated will be lost for everyone even Newell Rubbermaid. All the knowledge can't be wrote because it's shared between many people, so the knowledge is not what the people know, it is the links, the network they do each other. If the writing system division of Newell Rubbermaid wants to fight BIC pens, this division will need all abilities to win. If not, this division will lose the business competition against BIC. I'm sure that the leadership of Newell Rubbermaid doesn't want to drive this company to a defeat. Everybody here, in Valence, gave the best of himself, designing and manufacturing pens ; and everybody wants to continue.
